Behind the Scenes
THE OXNARD FIREFIGHTERS FOUNDATION
The Oxnard Firefighters Foundation is a non profit organization founded in 2012 by your local firefighters in order to directly provide services to the Citizens of Oxnard. Our membership is wholly comprised of your local Oxnard Firefighters. As Oxnard Firefighters we respond to your emergencies everyday. The ability to help the community during these emergencies provides us with an opportunity to recognize many of problems the community faces. In the last year we have implemented programs that have made a huge impact by providing direct services to residents of our city. In addition, to our current programs we are also in the process of starting more programs in order to have a larger impact on our community. Here is a list of our current programs as well as some of our future programs.

OXNARD SWIM PROGRAM
The Oxnard Firefighters Foundation
is taking a proactive role in the prevention of drowning in the Oxnard Community by positively influencing key factors shown to lead to drowning and drowning related injuries. We've chosen methods that are meaningful, actionable and practical in nature. We intend to provide financial assistance for swim lessons, the most basic tenet of aquatic safety education.
One Step at a Time
CHILD CAR SEAT PROGRAM
The Oxnard Firefighters Foundation is partnering with the Oxnard Fire Department and Safe Kids Ventura County to provide child car seat installation events throughout 2015. Please call if you have any questions or if you would like to make an appoinment to have a child car seat installed.

Helping The Community
CHILD BIKE HELMET PROGRAM
The Oxnard Firefighters Foundation is partnering with the Oxnard Fire Department, the Oxnard Police Department, and the California Office of Transportation and Safety to provide child bicycle helmets to the residents of Oxnard throughout 2015. We will be posting upcoming events on our website, so keep checking back. If you have questions feel free to call 805-246-1261.

Ribbons of Life
PINK CAMPAIGN
For the month of October, members of the Oxnard Fire Department will be wearing pink work shirts to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month. Please join us in buying a shirt or making a donation to help support this cause. All proceeds will be donated to assist the work of the Ventura County Ribbons of Life.
All proceeds will be distributed by the Oxnard Firefighters Foundation, a 501c3. Tax ID 45-5239547. All purchases are tax deductible.
The Oxnard Firefighters Association will use all the profits raised from selling merchandise to benefit local charities.
